As I declared back when I wrote my review of Ashes Grammar, I felt that A Sunny Day In Glasgow could have deepened the impact of that excellent record by dividing it up into five different EP’s. Doing so would have allowed people to more effectively absorbed the subtle intricacies and details that gave the flow of the songs their truest shape. The Nitetime Rainbows EP serves as ample evidence of the veracity of that bit of critical analysis, as “Nitetime Rainbows” anchors down three B-sides and three remixes, by giving plenty of room in which the delightful swoops and swells of sound can play.
