The time is one week away – Monday, October 19th, 2009 marks the first day of the Albums of the Decade Blog Tour. 10 great DIY blogs, yours truly included, have joined together to talk about their favorite albums from the past decade.

We know you’ve seen some of the other lists, but this collaboration is sure to open that discussion up even further. There will be some similarities, some differences, some agreements and some arguments, but it will all be relevant as we try to sort out the musical legacy of this decade.

Elizabeth Powell no doubt has a gorgeous voice. What irks me just a bit is that her lyrics are most often indecipherable. Nevertheless, it is with this innate musical instrument that she commands the Canadian trio Land of Talk. Saddle Creek Records, the folks who brought you Cursive and Bright Eyes, are prepared to liberate the band’s new 4 song EP, Fun and Laughter, featuring “May You Never” as the lead single.
