The old saying goes “you can’t judge a book by its cover.” Albums, on the other hand, are a different story – it’s often pretty simple to figure out what to expect from a record merely from the artwork. Upon first glance, One Win Choice’s EP, Define / Redefine, appears to be the handiwork of a small, Midwest indie rock group with its hand-screened faux woodcut scene of a tree and a small girl flying a kite. The other old saying tells us “looks can be deceiving,” and in this case, it is the prevailing maxim.
