Seriously, there is so much going on across the whole of Seasick Music, that it’s easy to lose one’s way. The four Provo, UT men that make up Shark Speed bring together hooky ‘90s emo/indie rock tones, appealingly punk-ish vocals, occasional horn sections, and intermittent programmed beats with heaps of creativity and talent. The music is energetic at its core, achieving this sound through intricately layered guitar lines, a killer bass player who loves creating rocking counterpoint runs, and a drummer able to produce deftly syncopated beats.
