Like most genres and sub-genres, post-rock does possess a few inherent flaws, traps into which middling to poor acts often fall, giving the style a bad name. Namely, since post-rock typically is performed with limited-to-zero vocals, there is a melodic space that must be filled in order to keep the music from turning into an unending jam session. Yet, this void is often neglected by lesser talented acts, bringing shame and dishonor upon underground acts like Years Of Rice And Salt who work diligently to dispel such stigmas.
