Some key points:
1) Barack Obama was victorious in the Democratic race, with 38% of the votes, besting John Edwards’ 30% and Hillary Clinton’s 29%, amongst others.
2) Mike Huckabee was victorious in the GOP race, with 34% of the vote, besting Mitt Romney’s 25%, Fred Thompson’s 13%, John McCain’s 13%, and Ron Paul’s 10%, amongst others.
3) With their abysmal showing, Joe Biden and Chris Dodd have announced that they plan to withdraw from the Democratic race, while Bill Richardon and Dennis Kucinich have made no such announcement. All 4 men were light years behind in numbers compared to the Big Three.
4) From being the front-runner in the polls only 3-4 months ago, Rudy Giuliani only received 4% of votes in the GOP race. All this while the voice and presence of perpetual thorn-in-the-GOP’s-side Ron Paul remain strong.
5) Money did not win, as the big-spenders (Clinton & Romney) failed to come in first place.

Rest assured folks, there were a great deal of mixed emotions amongst the candidates and their supporters tonight. The New Hampshire Primary, typically a much stronger measure of a candidate’s validity, will be held on Tuesday, January 8th, where McCain & Romney are neck-and-neck in the GOP race, while Obama & Clinton are nearly tied in the Democratic race.

Stay tuned for more information and perspective as the 2008 US Presidential Election Cycle makes its way towards November. I do promise to present some relevant and applicable personal analysis of the races as things progress. In my humble opinion, the American people will gain a much clearer picture of the candidates and their policies leading up to and following the “Super Tuesday” Primaries, to be held in 24 states on February 5th, 2008.
