Welcome to 2008!
I have this distinct impression that 2008 will be a rather hectic, but beautiful year. The wheels of change and progress are spinning in my life and the lives of my closest friends, and that only makes me excited to see and experience everything (as well as be a part of those events). Two of my closest friends are getting married in July, I have friends (like this wonderful woman) who are in various stages of being overseas for mission work, friends who have BIG goals for themselves (like this wonderful woman, this great guy, and this great guy) and friends who are preparing for excellent milestones in life (like this wonderful woman).
Myself? What do I have planned? Well, my 2 primary goals read like this:
1) Pay off my two credit cards — aka I will finally learn to truly budget my finances in order to gain a solid grasp on planning for my future. I have a budget in place that I will begin adhering to in the middle of January (once my work schedule returns to normal after the holiday weirdness).
2) Find my way into 2-3 more print publications — aka continue to make a living using my words. I have do have a solid contact within the confines of my city’s major newspaper that I plan to pursue within the next week.
Oh yeah…. There is one more thing that I’m working towards in 2008, but I can’t share that with you folks until I have some long, sit-down conversations with my closest of friends and family. Once I’ve talked to them, then I will share that news with my online community. It is really big news, an event that is directly tied into my 2 primary goals, and the achievement of those goals will easily enable me to successfully bring about this grand event.
Please keep reading folks! I promise to continue to bring you news from around the music world, my music reviews (both for myself and for various magazines), more poetry, more photos, more fiction (I need to get writing again), and a renewed passion for politics (as this is a Presidential election year). Granted, in order to do this, I have to write/post something every possible weekday (and maybe more, in order to keep up with this wonderful woman’s production). Blessings to you all for a great 2007! I can’t wait to see what 2008 brings!
Peace.
APN.
