Road Trip to San Diego! (A Bit of a Recap)
Well, Travis & I have returned from the road trip and we had an amazing time. Whether it’s the hard drive on Saturday from Austin to Albuquerque, the fantastic Sunday at the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest & the Grand Canyon, Monday at the San Diego Zoo, the walks on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday & Wednesday, or the even harder drives back home from San Diego to El Paso & El Paso to Houston (on Thursday & Friday respectively), this was definitely a trip to remember (on several levels). And as I sit down to compose this post, I don’t feel that there’s anything I can add that my pictures haven’t already revealed. However, I do want to reiterate that I greatly appreciate Travis’ generous gesture that allowed me to even partake of this journey. He has been a great friend to me over the past 2 years — he’s provided me a great place to live, great friendship in troubled times, and a great opportunity to build/grow/develop my career as a writer.
