Staff Week, Day 1
Well, it’s begun…. I have arrived at El Rancho Cima: Cockrell River Camp (referred to hereafter in this post & others as “camp”) for 8 weeks of what promises to be a great experience and a beautiful time of transition in my life. I have great, high hopes for what can come to pass here, though I don’t want to wallow in optimism, mostly because that’s not who I am. I will be kept quite busy by Scoutmasters, Scouts (& their parents), my bosses, and my fellow camp staffers, but I’m looking forward to it all. As I’ve said to many of you, I’m here for these 2 months for a very distinct reason — I’m not sure exactly what it is or will be, but I am here and that’s what counts.
With any luck, I will gain access to a camera in the near future and will be posting as many picture as possible of the entire camp’s comings & goings, since the guy who hired me as somewhat requested that I live-blog most as much of the summer as possible. I’m curious to see who might be happening across my blog over the summer, so maybe I’ll see my readership & the number of regular commenters increase. Like I said, I’m excited….
If any of you have any specific camp questions you’d like answered, please ask them (via the comment box) and I’ll respond as quickly as possible, either in the comment box or in a separate post.
On to Summer!
