For Mom On Mother’s Day (Part 2)
Tear-stained pillows,
Strewn, shredded tissues,
A heart torn,
Young love lost:
Their world is done for.
A hand of comfort
Words of wisdom
Ears that yearn to listen
Open arms ever-present
A seemingly ruined adolescence
Scattered pieces collected
Mom’s love is often
The best & most potent glue
To bind each wound
To heal each possible pain
Whether we want her to or not,
She can & does every time.
