There are few disappointments in life that are worse than those we experience as a result of having overwhelmingly high expectations brought down in a fiery crash. And sadly, we’ve all had to go through such emotionally gut-wrenching events and recovering from these circumstances can be quite difficult. Let me list a few of mine – the release of Crystal Pepsi at the age of 13 (my first time to be let down by massive media hype), having one of your favorite bands/singers release an album that pales in comparison to the rest of their collection (think Zooropa by U2), seeing one of your favorite movie series totally botch their return to the screen (think Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace), and watching a movie based upon a really great book tank when it finally releases in the theaters (that’s what this review will be all about).

Did you think I was going to talk about the time when I finally had enough guts to ask out a woman totally out of my league, and she actually said yes, but then I acted like a stuttering, incoherent, socially awkward nerd boy all night long?
